Introduction
Belga.press represents numerous sources, though, unfortunately, not all of them. This module allows you to upload your own documents and provided you hold the necessary rights for inclusion in a newsletter, live feed, or report.
This enables you to use our tools to deliver a comprehensive product to your target audience, combining articles or analyses represented by Belga.press with your own material or content from third parties.

Adding a document
With the introduction of documents, we are slightly reorganizing the interface. You can access this module via Organise > Documents. Initially, the list of uploaded documents will be empty, unless documents have already been shared with you.
A wizard, similar to the one used for creating a clip, allows you to add documents. To do this, click ‘upload new document’.
In the first step, you add your document (supported extensions: .png, .pdf, .xlsx, .docx, .jpg; maximum file size: 10 MB). After uploading, the next step allows you to name the document and optionally add a description. Then, add one or more labels and finish by specifying who should have access to the document.
Once uploaded, the document appears in the overview list.
Managing your documents
You can now manage all your documents.
The search bar, filters, and date range selector allow you to quickly locate a document.
For each document, you can see its sharing status, type, name, assigned labels, and upload date. Use the label icon to add more labels to a document, or click the pencil icon to edit it. You can also delete the document here if desired.
Click the name to open the document. You will see the document along with its associated metadata and where technically possible with a direct view of the content. In all other cases, you will be provided with a download link for the uploaded file.
Including documents in a newsletter, live feed, or report
Since every document is assigned at least one label, it inherently functions like an article. This allows you to add it to a newsletter or report, or have it automatically appear in your live feed based on the assigned label (with the upload date serving as the publication time). Consequently, your readers will notice little to no difference compared to other articles. These document-based articles are easily identified by the attachment icon.

A second way to work with documents is to add them specifically to a newsletter or report. To do this, click ‘+’ when creating the item and select the ‘document’ option. This keeps the documents separate from the other articles.
NOTE: Belga cannot be held liable for documents uploaded from your own organization. We therefore ask you to sign a specific addendum when you start using this module.
