Intro
In addition to a monthly subscription fee for using the service, our PPA (‘pay-per-article’) plan allows you to pay, as the name suggests for each article you read. The price per article is always €1.20 (excl. VAT), regardless of how old or recent the article is. Social content is free.
That might seem like a lot, but you get a great deal in return. You can perform full-text searches across belga.press for all articles from the sources included in your PPA package. You can also find all articles in the kiosk (e.g., under news brands, your real-time feed, etc.). If you find yourself frequently consulting a specific source, consider purchasing a corporate subscription. Please contact [email protected] for this.

Note: If you are familiar with Gopress, you will notice that the model has changed. You can no longer purchase the entire publication, only the specific article. We also ensure that any outstanding credits and prepaid months of usage are properly settled against your future invoices.
Recognizing and using PPA articles
The way it works is quite simple. Articles from PPA sources behave just like articles from sources fully included in your subscription. They appear in your search results (unless you filter them out using the feature at the top right).

You can identify a PPA article by the € icon. As soon as you click on the article, you will be asked to purchase it at the suggested price. If you agree, we will add the article to your usage details upon confirmation, making it fully visible to you—including all features that would otherwise remain hidden.

Any article you purchase is immediately available for other users within your organization to read at no extra cost. Once purchased, you can also access the article indefinitely.
Throughout Belga.press, we will indicate whenever your selection includes paid articles, so you won’t face any surprises.

Tracking your usage
You can track your usage via ‘settings-billing-purchased articles’. This provides a monthly overview of purchased items and their purchase prices. If you are a superuser within your organization, you can also view your colleagues’ usage this way. This allows you to keep track of your expenses at all times.

Managing your PPA subscription
You can manage your PPA subscription via ‘settings-subscriptions’. You can easily add, modify, or remove users.
Billing is based on a ‘seat’ system. If you sign up during the month, usage is immediately charged on that month’s invoice, while the per-user subscription fee is settled in the following month. We look at the number of active ‘seats’ on the monthly renewal date to calculate your subscription costs. Important: if your organization already has a more comprehensive subscription with Belga.press, we will not charge these monthly costs!
Is a colleague leaving the company and do you want to replace them with someone new? That’s possible! Simply update the active users. Your billing remains unchanged; the number of active seats remains the basis, and for usage charges, we look at all individuals who were active during that month.
Naturally, we would prefer you to stay, but should you decide to terminate your agreement, we will do our utmost to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.
Since billing is handled on an annual basis, you will receive a single invoice in early January (for platform access) covering the entire calendar year.
If you cancel during the year, we will ensure that your agreement is not automatically renewed for the following year.
You can continue using your PPA until the last working day of the current calendar year.
On the closing date, you will receive a final invoice with an overview of all items purchased during the year, ensuring everything is neatly settled.
How do I sign up for a PPA package?
We have deliberately opted for a self-service approach. If you are already a Belga.press user but do not yet have a subscription (e.g., as a registered visitor or newsletter reader), the platform provides clear prompts allowing you to sign up. You can also easily sign up via the website https://belga.press.
